Ontology Camp July 8th – July 11th with Peter RalstonThis year the annual visit of Peter Ralston will be a twelve-day martial art camp which will also contain different workshops, followed by a three day Communication and Relationship Workshop. In this way Peter can present you a complete picture of his art and for the people who don't want to do the whole camp: they can choose only the parts they are interested in.
T’ai Chi will show the relationship between the body alignment principles of Cheng Hsin and T’ai Chi Chuan.
Functional T’ai Chi will cover some of the T’ai Chi tui shou within the art of Cheng Hsin like brush knee twist step. There will be no falling on the mat for this workshop.
Boxing will demonstrate relaxed punches very useful for T’ai Chi players and Aikido practioners.
Cheng Hsin Art of Effortless Power is moving step pushing hands and is combined with throws and falls and as such interesting for T’ai Chi players and Aikido practioners alike.
It is possible to sign up for the whole 16 days, for parts of the camp or for separate workshops.
However it is not possible to do only the second week T’ui Shou (Art of EP) part except for second and higher degree participants.
The morning training (MT) is conducted by an assistant and is adapted to that day program.Doing the whole camp also includes the different workshops.
It is not possible to get a reduction in price if you want to do the whole camp without the evening classes.
Peter has published a book called “Zen Body Being” (ISBN 1583941592) in which he explains in depth his ideas about how the mind works the body within the Cheng Hsin principles. This year there will be no Functional Body Being or Cheng Hsin Body Being workshop.
Both are based on the book and you are advised to read this book, which is written in a very accessible style.
Somewhere in 2010 his latest ontology book will be published called “the Book of Not Knowing”.
